Alan Amaya is an interaction designer based in Los Angeles, California. He designs parables for the underrepresented in various emerging media from films, participatory co-making, and 3D interactive mixed-realities. He is excited about the unexpectedness that a well designed fiction can open up, and critical political discussions that it may cultivate. Alan uses participatory design research to visualize and materialize the framework for emerging technologies to play roles in human-ecologies. Alan’s identity as a queer person of color is one of the axes of his design practices.
